Dalian University of Technology

Prof. Akkaya received his PhD from the Ohio State University, Chemistry Department in 1989. He did postdoctoral work in the University of Maryland, School of Medicine.  He then joined the faculty of the Chemistry Department of the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey in 1995. Between 2007-2018 he was in Bilkent University, then moved to China and worked in Dalian University of Technology as a XingHai Scholar.  He recently accepted a position, again in Bilkent University, with a support from TÜBİTAK’s International Fellowship for Outstanding Scholars (2232-A).
