Ankara University/Department of Biotechnology
Prof. Dr. Nurullah Saraçoğlu received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Atatürk University’s Chemistry Department in 1988 and 1991, completed his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 1996 under Prof. Dr. Metin Balcı at the same university, and became a full professor in 2006. He has been a faculty member at Ankara University since May 2024. His research focuses on synthetic and mechanistic organic chemistry, transition metal-catalyzed C–H bond activation and functionalization, as well as catalytic transformations. His work centers on indole chemistry, developing new synthetic methods for potential organic electronic materials and bioactive compounds.
