Xuefeng Jiang

Title: Green Organosulfur Chemistry

Xuefeng Jiang is a professor at East China Normal University. He received his B.S. degree in 2003 from Northwest University (China). He then joined Professor Shengming Ma’s research group at the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he received his Ph.D. degree in 2008. From 2008 to 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher on the total synthesis of natural products in the research group of Professor K. C. Nicolaou at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI). His independent research interests have focused on sulfur chemistry and methodology-oriented total synthesis. Xuefeng was chose as the Ambassador of “Sulfur” in “Periodic Table of Younger Chemists” by IUPAC in 2018. He also received many important awards for his contribution in synthetic chemistry, such as 2013 Thieme Chemistry Journal Award, 2016 Asian Core Program Lectureship Award (Singapore & Japan), 2017 WuXi AppTec Life Chemistry Research Award, 2019 Asian Rising Stars Lectureship Award at the 18th Asian Chemical Congress, 2020 the16th SINO-US Chemistry Professors Award, 2021 Outstanding Scientist in China, 2023 Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award, 2023 National Award for Excellence in Innovation, and 2024 First Prize of Shanghai Natural Science Award etc.
